Who are we?
Northside is a men’s rugby club that will begin competition in Division 4 of the Chicago Area Rugby Football Union starting in the spring of 2025. Our home pitch is in Rogers Park, but we draw members from Uptown, Evanston, Edgewater, Albany Park and Skokie. We are proud of our close-knit, welcoming community and commitment to player development.
Why a goose?
As our mascot-less community looked for a way to recognize players who consistently attended our early touch sessions, our eyes landed on a classic, ceramic “porch goose”. As we decorated it in a custom scrum cap and jersey, the nickname seamlessly wove its way into the club’s identity.

Two-hand Touch Rugby
Every Sunday from 2:00-3:30 PM

No experience? No problem! Although we are a men’s league team, we prioritize building a community where everyone can be included. Touch sessions are co-ed, a great entry point for beginners or easygoing skills & fitness for experienced players.

Enjoy a drink or five with our members as we talk about non-rugby related things (that is possible sometimes). Those new to the sport will receive a warm welcome to the game and its traditions, as well as an introduction to our club’s unique culture.
