Our Vision

To become a leading amateur rugby club in Chicago, recognized for strong player development, community involvement, and consistent competitive performance.

Our Mission

To provide an inclusive, competitive, sustainable rugby community where players of all skill levels can enjoy and develop in the sport.

Who are we?

Northside is a co-ed rugby club that draws members from Rogers Park to Edison Park, and from Evanston to Uptown. We offer friendly competition through two-hand touch games, and further connect our community through social events & volunteering.

We will field a competitive men’s team in Division 4 of the Chicago Area Rugby Football Union (CARFU) starting in the spring of 2025. Our home pitch will be Skokie Sports Park, and our socials will be hosted at Mullen’s Sports Bar. We are proud of our close-knit, welcoming community and commitment to player development.

Why a goose?

As our mascot-less community looked for a way to recognize players who consistently attended our early touch sessions, our eyes landed on a classic, ceramic “porch goose”. As we decorated it in a custom scrum cap and jersey, the nickname seamlessly wove its way into the club’s identity.
